No matter which part of the world you live in and what your eating habits are, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Palate needs differs from person to person, some countries start their day with a hint of sweet , while others with savouries.Though bread, cereals and fruits are eaten everywhere here’s what some of the top breakfasts around the globe looks like.

1.France

A typical french breakfast is light, consists of pastry, toast or cereal with a hot coffee or tea. For French, lunch is the most important meal of the day. Since their lunch and dinner are quite rich with heavy cream sauce, meat and wine ,they prefer to have a lighter breakfast. The pastry choice is mostly a croissant! Even with a smaller serving its slightly on higher side of calories. Calories: 250 cal/ 100 gms.

2. England

A classic English breakfast is a soul-satisfying affair. This tops the list anywhere in the world, no wonder its so popular. A typical English breakfast consists of sausages, fried eggs, tomatoes, bacon, mushrooms, beans, a slice of toasted bread, black pudding accompanied by a hot coffee or a tea. A traditonal English breakfast consists of approximately 800 calories per serving. That’s an awful lot!

3. Australia

Avocado on toast and coffee is the most favourite and common brekkie in Australia. Cereals are also typical , fruits with yoghurt is also quite common. The Australian version of avocado toast has a smashed avocado on top of the sourdough toast which is smeared with vegemite , and poached eggs on the top. Avocado toast with a slice of whole grain bread, one third of an avocado slice, a large fried egg contains about 250 calories.

4. Brazil

Acai bowl is the most prominent breakfast of Brazil. Acai pronounced as ‘ah-sah-ee’,is a berry from acai palm. Acai berries are known to contain extensively high anti oxidants and fibre, making them a healthier choice. Acai although has a tarty flavour, is eaten as both sweet and savoury. Best way to eat them is as a frozen puree, topped with fresh fruits(mostly banana), granola and also milk or orange juice. This bowl full of flavour has about 230 calories per serving.

5. Japan

Japanese are drawn to the philosophy that the first meal of the day should be nutritionally packed, A good breakfast rejuvenates your energy for the rest of your day. The traditional Japanese breakfast is a whole different level of experience. Japanese breakfast spread typically consists of variety of items such as steamed rice, miso soup, grilled fish, pickles and side dishes. It has about 300 calories per serving.
