Scrolling through your Instagram feed, have you ever wondered how do beauty influencers have such flawless skin and what’s the secret behind it? Does it make you go “wow it must be nice to be good at applying makeup”? Well, all these pros once started as beginners too. The world of make up can be daunting especially if you’re a beginner, considering the number of tutorials and products that are easily available today. Whether you are a makeup pro or a newbie, you can always benefit from a few makeup tips. So I put together some amazing tips in this post that helps you to up your glam game.
- Know your skin type

Consider two important things before buying any makeup product–your skin type and skin tone. Whether you have dry, oily, or combination skin or if you are warm, cool, or neutral toned, select products that suit your skin type and tone.
2. Prep your skin

Prepare your skin before you indulge into makeup. Start with your favourite cleanser, followed by toner to ensure that your makeup looks tenfold better. Moisturise your face regularly and do not forget to drink lots of water.
3. Start with drug store products

As for makeup materials, buy fewer mediocre quality materials that can be used for multiple things. Since this is your first time or beginner at makeup, buy some lower-end good makeup materials to start off with. Then, once you get good, you can buy the higher-end materials.
4. Do eye makeup before face.

That way you don’t wipe away any excess foundation if you mess up your eyeshadow or eyeliner. Plus, it looks nicer and you don’t have to redo any makeup. You can also start with foundation and do eye shadow and primer after.
5. Exfoliate Your Lips

To easily achieve soft and smooth lips that are lipstick ready, exfoliate by gently rubbing them with a baby toothbrush. To make the process even more efficient, use a simple homemade lip exfoliant and brush it on in circular motions. All you’ll need is some brown sugar and coconut oil to create an easy, useful, and natural exfoliant.
6. Contouring

Don’t blindly learn the beauty blogger’s methods, because everyone’s face is different. Learn how to contour your nose based on your nose shape, it’s not the same for all noses. Basically just learn the layout of your face, memorize it to the point that you’d be able to do your contouring without a mirror.
7. Cosmetics have shelf life

Makeup has expiry dates. Just like sunscreen and food, makeup too has a certain amount of shelter life. For example, some eyeshadows last about 12–24-months, concealers and foundation last about 6 months, lip gloss and lipstick about 6–12 months of shelf life, nail polish 24 months. Once your makeup has passed its expiry date, make sure to throw it out!
8. Wash your makeup brushes frequently

The reason is there are millions of bacteria on your makeup brushes. To avoid breakouts or acne problems, wash them regularly or every week as possible—to get rid of old makeup products and oils from your skin that are stuck on your brushes.
9. Match Lip Colour with Cheeks

Matching your lip colour with your cheeks creates a lovely, coordinated, and natural appearance. To achieve the look without a dual-purpose product, you can easily turn your favourite lip crayon into a cream blush. Just apply some to the back of your hand before using your finger to blend it across your cheeks.
10. Never sleep with makeup on.

Makeup is full of chemical ingredients as well as lots of oils and bacteria. To avoid at all cost any random zits or breakouts popping by, wash your face with oil free makeup wipes, makeup removal and face wash to keep it fresh and vibrant. After the wash, moisturize, since your face will be clean and dry after wash.
And most important of all is getting at least eight hours of sleep regularly.
Thanks for all your efforts that you have put in this. very interesting info .
